The hiatus

Not maybe too long but then there it was. I cannot explain the happiness of coming back.

But, did I ever go away?

Nope.

I have been reading everyone of your posts during my travels and haven’t missed a single of them. So, my reader isn’t looking crazily full or anything. Yet, there has been this void. I missed writing. I had so much to say. I have so much to say. But I always pushed it aside because I have been too busy getting pampered and pampering.

For now, I just wanted to say I missed writing here. I missed seeing your comments (C’mon, I may write for my happiness, but reading someone’s opinion is priceless too). I missed being here actively. The past month has been hectic. I completed a few exams, had my in-laws over and practically roamed as much as we could all around Singapore, took a trip to Bali, played like crazy in our private pool, watched my in-laws laugh till they had tears in their eyes, watched superiorly silly movies and realized why I LOVE Boman Irani and Paresh Rawal, discovered the joy of being in a villa (Sorry, I am going to show off because it was a beautiful experience) over holidays, woke with a smile to heavenly masala chai everyday, giggled and made fun of father in law’s expression as he read the newspaper, taught techie stuff to in-laws (if you know me, you will laugh at the very thought), sat through nights watching unbearably senseless movies just because we had company, made, rather ate a zillion dishes for dinner ( seriously) everyday!, bought silly stuff, smelt the flowers literally and learnt to identify them by their smell thanks to mum in law, cried at the sight of the gazillion chillies that went into some curries, used the mortar and pestle effectively for the first time in my kitchen, learnt a whole tot of Bengali cuisine, went home to smiling people everyday, studied some more, planned a lot, struck things off  to-do lists, missed looooooong calls to parents back home and –

vacationed in Bali and then come back to the news of being promoted at work.

And and! WordPress looks different.  Hmm,  I miss the old fella. Hello, new look!

And all of that comes out of just one breath. I have so much to say. So much!

It will have to wait. I will take time to come to terms to opening the door myself when I go home tonight. I will probably just pester K to reach home before me. Until then, I just wanted to say that I needed to write here. And say a very very warm hello to all of you.
